At Refreshing Ideas, we're helping to save the planet, one drink at a time.
Our packaging is:
h20 natural spring water comes in an earth-friendly, award-winning, aseptic package. It's made mainly of paper, which is a renewable and sustainable resource. All the paper we use comes from responsibly- managed forests, that continuously grow as new trees replacing the harvested ones. In fact, our package is the only package to win the Presidential Award for Sustainability.
Our packaging is recyclable (over 100 million US residents have access to carton recycling and 22 billion cartons were recycled globally in 2007 alone), providing an ecological alternative to standard plastic bottles, 38 billion of which end up in landfills every year.
It's not just that they can be recycled into other paper products for multiple uses (like tissue, paper towels, or cereal boxes), thus helping to save our environmental resources. It's also that they're easy for you, the consumer. h20 packages flatten easily to take up very little space in your recycle bin when you go to dispose of them. They're very lightweight, making them easy to carry away, all of which goes to help make it simple for you to do your part to help save the planet.
Finally, our h20 cartons use significantly less energy to manufacture and transport than other packaging methods, thus aggregately reducing C02 emissions and helping to reduce the rate of global warming. All of this, along with the fact that our packaging is free from chemical leeching, is why our carton is considered the packaging of the future. And it's why they are produced at facilities that are ISO 14,001 and EMS environmentally certified.

Going Green does not have to be a daunting task that means sweeping life changes.
Simple things can make a difference.
Here are a few small ways we can really "Save the Planet, One Step at a Time".
One Bulb At A Time If every household in the U.S. replaced one regular light bulb with a compact florescent one, the pollution reduction would be equivalent to removing one million cars from the road.
One Bill At A Time By some estimates, if every household in the U.S. paid their bills online and received electronic statements instead of paper, we'd save 18.5 million trees, 2.2 billion tons of carbon dioxide and 1.7 billion pounds of solid waste.
One Flight At A Time By using an electronic ticket instead of a paper one, we'd save the airline industry $3 billion a year and huge amounts of paper in the process.
One Car At A Time If everyone in the U.S. who washes their car themselves visited the car wash just once, we could save nearly 8.7 billion gallons of water.
One Book At A Time Some estimate that telephone books make up nearly ten percent of waste at dump sites. Consider if you really need a paper phone book. If not, call to stop delivery and use on-line directories instead. Don't forget to recycle your old volumes.
One Letter At A Time The average American receives 40 pounds of junk mail every year, destroying 100 million trees. There are many services that can help reduce clutter in your mailbox saving trees and precious space on your countertop.
One Newspaper At A Time There are 63 million newspapers printed everyday in the U.S. Of these 44 million, 69 % will be thrown away. Recycling just the Sunday papers would save half a million trees every week.
One Wash At A Time If all the households in the U.S. switched from hot-hot cycle to warm-cold we could save energy comparable to 100,000 barrels of oil a day. Remember only launder when you have a full load.
One Glass At A Time Recycled glass reduces related air pollution by 20 percent and related water pollution by 50 percent. If it isn't recycled glass can take a million years to decompose
One Napkin At A Time If everyone in the U.S. used one less napkin a day, more than a billion pounds of napkins could be saved from landfills each year.
One Gallon At A Time Every two minutes you save on your shower can conserve more than ten gallons of water. If everyone in the U.S saved just one gallon from their daily shower, over the course of the year it would equal twice the amount of freshwater withdrawn from the Great Lakes every day.
Share! Take what you've learned, and pass the knowledge on to others. If every person you know could take one small step toward being greener, the collective effort could make a huge leap toward "Saving the Planet".
